Terms of Service

By creating an account or using unlockd.io ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

unlockd.io provides tools that allow artists and creators to create download gates. These are pages where fans complete social actions (such as following on SoundCloud or Spotify, or providing an email address) in exchange for access to a downloadable file.

Unlockd Pro starts with a 7-day free trial when offered during signup. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the Service renews automatically at $3.99/month. You may cancel at any time from your billing dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.

You are solely responsible for all files you upload and distribute through the Service. You must have the right to distribute any content you upload. You must not upload or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, or violates any third-party rights.

When fans provide their email addresses through your gates, you become the data controller for that information. You are responsible for complying with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CAN-SPAM) when using fan email addresses for marketing.

The Service integrates with SoundCloud and Spotify via OAuth. Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms of service. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by SoundCloud or Spotify.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your gates.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the Service will meet your specific requirements.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, unlockd.io shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
